The experience of Linn
My name is Linn Voskuil, and I participated in the Solar Team Twente editions in 2024 and 2025. I had the unique opportunity to join the team as an intern from ROC Twente, where I was studying Marketing and Communication Specialist.
During both the Innovation edition in 2024 and the Australia edition in 2025, I was responsible for all social media. In this role, I was involved in creating, planning, and publishing content on multiple platforms. I translated technical developments and personal stories into accessible and engaging stories, shared behind-the-scenes updates, and ensured engagement with supporters, partners, and followers. During the Australia period, I also provided real-time updates, which required quick decision-making and clear communication with various subteams. In addition to social media, I supported the team where needed.
Being part of such a driven and multidisciplinary team taught me to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and take responsibility for my role. My time with the team was not just an internship, but a valuable learning experience that strengthened both my professional skills and my confidence.
