Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with a large part of our partners. By working closely with the management team, you ensure that the team’s financial and strategic goals align with partner expectations. Your role involves engaging with companies to secure financial and in-kind support, making it your responsibility to keep the project financially feasible.

In addition to partner relations, you contribute to the team’s marketing strategy, ensuring that communication aligns with stakeholder interests. You are the key contact for many external parties, representing Solar Team Twente in professional settings. Besides that, you jump in where needed, supporting the team in achieving its overall goals.

The experience of Marc

What an incredible year it was at Solar Team Twente! I'm Marc Peters, and as technical account manager and event manager of team 2025, I've had an adventure that I'll remember for a long time. It was a year full of challenges, unexpected twists and turns, and intense moments, but precisely because of that, also a year in which I grew enormously – both professionally and personally. There were moments of frustration, when things didn't go as planned, but also countless moments of pride and satisfaction. Together with our team, we kept going, determined to make our dream come true: participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. As account manager, I found it special to see how our partners truly became part of the team, and as event manager, I enjoyed the energy and connection during every event we organized. It always gave me a huge boost to see how much enthusiasm and support there was around us. I'll never forget the moment our solar car finally drove across Australian roads. All the emotions, excitement, pride, relief... it all came together. Looking back, I'm deeply touched by what we achieved together. This adventure not only taught me a lot, but also showed me what true team spirit means.
