Red One

In October 8th 2015 in Australia, the adventure started at the start line of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge with Red One. Red One finished second, 3 minutes behind the leader. Red One is the first asymmetrical car in the history of Solar Team Twente. This is advantageous to the solar income. Contrary to previous models, now only once per day a shadow, due to the canopy/cockpit, is cast o n the solar panel. Less shadow means more income and more income means faster racing. Furthermore, its a better design than a symmetrical car aerodynamically, because the driver is integrated in the structure covering the wheels.
